Baby-abductor arrested and faces kidnapping charges

Ann Pettway, the woman who stole 19 days old Carlina White from hospital has surrendered to the FBI. She was already on probation for attempted embezzlement. She turned herself in a few days after a reunion between the baby she raised and her real mother. The biological parents remember a woman who looked like a nurse comforted them in the hospital. The parents went home to rest, and when they came back, the baby and the nurse had disappeared. The mother kept searching for her child for 23 years.
